Kelly Sweeney trained at Nottingham Trent University and Chelsea School of Art. Since graduating (2014), selected exhibitions include Zeitgeist (London), Office Sessions Part I (London) and Painted Surfaces (Nottingham). The artist was shortlisted for Bloomsberg New Contemporaries and awarded the Patrons Bursary from UAL.

Further shows include 'Strobe Maneuvre' at Unit 3, 'Hix 2015' at CNB Gallery, where as a finalist for the Hix Award the artist was awarded second prize. The artist held her first solo show at BSMT Gallery in 2016. The artist discusses the show in an interview with Traction Magazine. Sweeney was selected for Creekside 2017 and most recently exhibited in StrangeLands at Collyer Bristow Gallery in London.
